I started in web design in 2014, then went wherever the craft took me: vector illustration for Elsevier e-books, print production for banking and government clients at RR Donnelley, product imaging at Amazon. Each stop taught me something product design needs — precision, production discipline, and how visuals earn (or lose) a customer's trust.
When the 2020 lockdown hit, I used the pause to retrain in UX — then joined SPAN Technology Services as a web designer and worked my way to Lead UX/UI Designer. There I led design on a zero-to-one fintech product, built design systems used across five products, and mentored a team of six designers.
These days I also design with AI in the loop — Claude plus our Figma system for faster exploration, documentation and component work — while keeping human judgment firmly in charge. What I'm after hasn't changed since the beginning: complicated things, made genuinely simple.
