TaxBandits and Tax990 are enterprise SaaS products where users file complex tax forms against real deadlines. I helped build the first version of the design system that holds those data-heavy screens together — then scaled the practice across SPAN's product lines.

Tax products are the hardest kind of UI: dense forms, compliance language, tables everywhere, and users who are stressed by definition. Without shared standards, every feature meant re-deciding buttons, validation, spacing and states — inconsistency for users, wasted cycles for the team.
Starting with TaxBandits, and with my team's support, I helped establish the first shared design language — then carried the practice into Tax990, TruckLogics, 123PayStubs and eventually WealthRabbit's own system.
The real work was adoption. I delivered 12+ training sessions — Figma fundamentals, auto layout, variants, prototyping, design-system creation, handoff practices — for designers, and cross-functional sessions so BAs, front-end developers and web designers could speak the same language and use shared components properly.
I also applied the system to the TaxBandits product redesign itself — simplifying data-heavy screens, complex forms, compliance information and multi-step filing journeys with structured navigation, contextual guidance and clear status visibility, so customers always know their right next action.
From 2025, I built a GenAI-assisted workflow on top: Claude plus the Figma system accelerates component creation, documentation and exploration, with human review as the quality gate.
